So how do we fake blending and still get those soft, artistic transitions? Everyone loves a little bling! In this class we will cover the rhinestone tools, a variety of software, as well as the materials  needed to create these shiny projects!! Then, we  will talk about working with purchased designs.  Finally, we will talk about holographic vinyl to create faux rhinestones.

Modern Sublimation Transformation: Beyond Grandma’s Techniques. Combine embroidery and sublimation to amplify your creativity. Explore fresh horizons with fabric subbing, vinyl addition, and ingenious solutions like on-the-fly fabric acquisition. Join us as two worlds collide, elevating your uniqueness in a bustling crowd.

Leashes, Socks, Mittens, Collar Corners, Pockets, and More – They are all hard to hoop but they can all be done easily without specialized tools.  Who wants to spend $700 to hoop a pair of socks, or another $500 to hold a dog leash or name tape?  You don’t have to do that – let me show you how. In this class, we will hoop actual projects using just the hoop that came with your machine and a couple of easy to find and use stabilizers.

In this class, Sheila Ryan with Designs by Babymoon will guide you step by step through the process you need to create freestanding lace earrings.  Each participant will receive an exclusive pattern pack with Freestanding Lace Earring Designs as well as samples of stabilizers that are preferred for the technique.  We will cover various types of freestanding lace earring designs from large to small and learn lots of tips and tricks to get the best quality stitchout! If you are stitching for yourself, for gifts, or looking for a great way to add embroidery items to your craft show booths, come learn about stitching freestanding lace earrings! 

In this class you will be learning how to make an IN THE HOOP bag tag.  In the first part of the class, Melissa will teach all the techniques needed for this project.  Then, you will move into the Hands on portion.  The price of the class includes the material as well as the digitized design used to create the bag tag. We will provide 4 machines at the front of the room, that you will be able to take turns to create your tag.  You are also welcome to bring YOUR machine.  We will have tables with power so you will be able to plug in and go.  For those of you who would like to attend the class but not participate in the hands on portion, you can take the material home and create it there.

If you make applique girl’s shirts…then you definitely don’t want to miss this class, you will be guided through every step, ensuring you walk away with a beautiful and uniquely personalized tutu skirt that captures the essence of enchantment in no time at all.

Applique designs are perfect for decorating wearables and quilts. Change the fabric and thread, and you have a “brand-new” design. But they can be so much more. All my free-standing and 3D designs began with a regular applique design. We’ll discuss edits that might be needed and materials that can be used to turn your static applique designs into works of art that can literally stand on their own. A few examples you’ll see in my booth and on my website — baby mobile, baby bibbiez bottoms, soft book, nativity set.

What is a serger, how is it used, and what can you do with it?  All of these questions will be answered in this class.  This will be a very fun and informative class about all things sergers!

I’ll be teaching you some tips and tips for taking attractive product photos that help you sell your work. You will learn about composition, lighting, and how to use your smart phone camera to its fullest potential. We will also cover some basic image editing techniques, as well as sizing and compression principles to ensure your images look great and load quickly.

In this class we will talk about collaboration in the industry and how building a network can help avoid purchasing bad artwork (stolen and badly redrawn art from Etsy, online groups, drives, etc.) Other positives of building a network of people that you know, like and trust to avoid being scammed or ripped off by those that are just out to make a buck and disappear or that convert printers (such as DTF) and do not know what they are doing so the end product fails.

How to digitize lettering – In this class we will delve into the tools and process followed to create designs that happen to look like letters – focusing on those created with the satin turning angle column style of embroidery.  Satin stitches are the strongest stitches that can cause the most movement when stitched – in embroidery “bad words” think puckering, pulling, clumping and muddy looking stitches. So, we will discuss the planning as well as the digitizing tools and their implementation in order to get the results we are looking for.

SVG files are a versatile vector-based art format that are used by embroidery digitizers and graphic designers. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own original vector-based art (in SVG format) as well as edit existing files. We’ll be locating and installing new fonts, covering common editing techniques, and experimenting with brushes, lines, and shapes to produce different looks.  Don’t think you have the right software? Have no fear – we will be using freely available programs.

Applique is what drew me to the world of machine embroidery and 20+ years later, I still love it. It is so easy to do with our embroidery machines. The same applique design can become unique simply by changing the fabrics. They are a great way to reduce the stitch count on larger designs as well as stitching faster. In this beginner’s class, we’ll discuss the basic steps, supplies, and tools. We’ll also look at alternatives to the standard satin stitch edge. Be prepared to become addicted!

We are going to work in Stitch Artist at the beginner level to learn a bit of digitizing and how the tools work in our software. From fills to outlines, planning your project – We will even go over in the hoop designs. We are going to have some fun learning what it is to create original designs without stress! Those that choose to take the class using the demo version will learn a lot about how the software works but will not be able to save.

Join us for a night of fun on Friday, September 10th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. We will be having a vendor panel, where all in attendance can ask questions to their favorite vendors. This will be a “debate” style. Each vendor will be introduced, and then we will take turns asking each vendor a question from the audience. We will have sweet treats and kick off the fun with a crazy hat contest. You must register in advance to enter the contest and the winner will receive $200.00 in cash. The contest will be judged by the attendees in attendance. We will have a meet and greet following the vendor panel. This will be a great night of fun and networking among like minded people.

We will have early bird shopping available to the first 300 attendees that register for the early bird registration. Early bird registration will be on Friday, September 11th, 2021 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. Not only will you be able to shop early with no large crowds or lines, but most vendors will also have a early bird shopping only booth specials.

Yes, you read the title correctly! This is a hands-on digitizing workshop geared not only to those who are considering digitizing, but also to those who have been digitizing for years. The class is all about the initial foundation of theory John learned from his Schiffli mentor more than 33 years ago, and will contain the most important information you’ll ever learn about digitizing. If you’ve ever been to a hands-on software class before you might be skeptical, since often the person who knows the least get the most attention during class, while others are left waiting. Not this time! Two weeks prior to class attendees will download a demo version of the software and some basic tutorials about the tools needed for class. Because everyone will come prepared, laptop loaded with the demo software and knowing where the tools are, you’ll be ready for accelerated learning! Note: This software is developed for a Windows operating system. There are customers that run this software on their MAC computers when using Parallels.
